維特效應(The Werther Effect)

1982年，美國社會學家菲利普斯(Phillips, David P)指出對轟動性的自殺事件報道，在報道所涵蓋的地區，緊接著自殺率就會有大幅度上升。

《少年維特之煩惱》是德國大文豪歌德的小說，內容是一個青年失戀而自殺的故事。小說出版後，造成極大的轟動，不但使歌德名聲在歐洲大噪，而且在整個歐洲引發了模仿維特自殺的風潮。

以上三組兩數相加法的困難度=100%

結果顯示數值愈大，難度愈高。

韋尼克氏區(Wernicke's area)

1876年，德國解剖學家卡爾·韋尼克(Karl Wernicke, 1848-1904)發現韋尼克氏區(Wernicke's area)是在左腦顳葉後方的位置，連接視覺皮層(primary visual cortex)和聽覺皮層(primary auditory cortex)，負責理解語言內容，傳到布羅卡說話區 。

布羅卡區(Broca's area)

1861年，法國神經學家保羅．布羅卡(Paul Broca, 1824-1880)發現布羅卡說話區(Broca's area)位於左腦額葉皮質，負責表達句子意義，傳到運動皮層(Primary Motor Cortex)。
